This setup is made for LS swapped cars that need the correct fitment, shock travel, and front suspension clearance. Each set is matched to the chassis, engine block, and intended use.

The E9X and E8X chassis use a McPherson strut front suspension, so the front strut is part of the suspension structure and not just a shock absorber. These coilovers use monoball camber plates for a more precise upper mount and camber adjustment, along with an inverted front damper that places the larger damper body in the loaded section of the strut for added strength and support.

The lower front bracket has an integrated sway bar link mount to help maximize wheel and tire clearance, and the front shock body threads down through the knuckle to allow a longer shock in the limited front suspension space. Front travel is tight on the E9X and E8X chassis, with the front suspension close to a 1:1 motion ratio, so the added shock length helps with bump travel, droop travel, bump stop engagement, and ride height setup.

The rear uses a divorced spring setup, like the factory BMW layout, with the spring and shock separate. This keeps the rear suspension layout correct for the chassis and allows shock length to be set for travel while ride height is adjusted with the spring.
