A Small Business Built Around BMW LS Swaps

LSE9X started in a home garage back in 2016 with one goal — to make LS swaps into BMW E9X chassis possible. What began as a personal project quickly turned into something bigger once we realized how many others would be interested in swapping this chassis.

We're a small business based in Houston, Texas, run by Mike — a mechanical engineer with a hands-on approach to every part we make. Every product starts in CAD and is tested in real-world swaps on our own cars before it ever hits the website. We don’t outsource development or rely on generic solutions — everything is designed, refined, and tested in-house to work the way it should, without the guesswork.

What We Make

Our focus is on practical, well-designed parts that solve real problems during a swap. We build and support LS and LT swap components specifically for the BMW E9X and E8X platforms, including:

  • CNC laser-cut, jig-welded engine mount kits
  • Custom transmission crossmembers and mounts
  • Plug-and-play wiring harnesses
  • CAN integration modules for factory cluster and chassis communication
  • Accessory drive brackets
  • Suspension upgrades for drag racing and high-power street builds
  • Detailed documentation, install guides, and video walkthroughs

Why We Do It

We started LSE9X because we were building these cars ourselves and kept hitting dead ends. Instead of patching things together with forum advice or modifying parts that didn’t fit, we began making the parts we wished existed. That’s still our approach today.

As a small business, we take pride in supporting other builders who are hands-on, doing the work themselves — whether it’s a weekend project, a race car, or a daily driver.
