Lse9x Front Fox body strut conversion kit

This billet knuckle adapter kit allows E9X and E8X BMW owners to install Fox Body Mustang struts, providing access to a widely available selection of single- and double-adjustable drag racing struts.

By utilizing the longer stroke length of the Mustang strut and revised mounting locations, this setup increases front suspension travel, improving weight transfer for better launches. This kit is a for BMW drag racers looking to maximize front-end travel, optimize weight transfer, and use proven drag racing struts for improved straight-line performance.  Used by the fastest E9x chassis the world. 

• Drag Racing Optimized – Designed to improve weight transfer and front-end control for better launches and reduced 60-foot times.
• Increased Front Suspension Travel – The longer stroke length of the Mustang strut, combined with revised mounting points, allows for more front-end lift under acceleration and weight transfer if required due to track surface or conditions. 
• Custom Billet Lower Mount – Bolts to the back of the hub mounting locations of a modified stock knuckle, securing the Mustang strut while maintaining factory suspension geometry.
• Top Hat Caster Camber Plates – Designed to fit the E9X/E8X chassis and the Fox Body strut top, providing full camber and caster adjustability.
• Compatible with Single & Double Adjustable Struts – Works with Viking, Strange, QA1, and other drag-specific struts, allowing for precise suspension tuning of compression and rebound.
• Front Sway Bar Elimination – This conversion removes the front sway bar to maximize independent front-end movement, further improving weight transfer.

Requirements:

• Intended for race use only
• For use only with modified front 28i/35i front knuckles (not m3)
• Sway bar removal 
• Significant knuckle modification must made as shown in product photos by customer. Basic grinder cut off wheel and flapper disk is all that is needed for modifications.  
• Will not work on slammed cars,  Suspension setup for a 26" front tire at designed ride height with strut mostly compressed to allow most extension. 
• Works with V8 fox body struts with a 3/4" wide mount flange
• Long travel Fox shocks may cause other suspension components to bind and should not be needed as additional travel is provided by standard struts
• Modifications to tension rod may be required depending on the strut used and its adjuster location.  Be sure to check for interference when installing.
